Films of the last 2 weeks

Easy A
This was on at the cinema at Uni, it was the 5th time I had seen it so I knew it was fantastic. However, the experience of seeing on a big screen was RUINED by the noisy girls sat behind us who full on roared with laughter at the slightest amusing moment.

Tron: Legacy
I really rather liked this film. The look of it was fantastic, we saw it in 2D and I don't think it spoiled it. The colours were so vibrant and the characters were interesting. One niggle though, it was called Tron and the character Tron was barely in it! I know that was also the name of the arcade game but still. Anyway, it's worth watching if you like action stuff or appealing visuals.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief
Oh dear me, this film was not good. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen but it was so cheesy and oh my goodness, a laughable film. Steve Coogan as Hades though, he wasn't as scary as Hades should be but he made the film better.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice
This one wasn't so bad. The actors were recognisable and the musical lightning was pretty fab. The whole thing was ridiculous but fun too. A very childish film and mediocre.

Never Let Me Go
Well this is a darn fantastic film. It's creepy as anything and sinister from the very beginning. You can play guessing and be heartbroken as some aspects of the plot are revealed. It's a sci-fi film set in a very realistic and not obviously high-tech England. Watch this film if you haven't already!

Date Night
Comedy with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I found this one rather amusing, it was absurd in many ways but not in a way that made it cringe-worthy. You should give it a watch if you want something funny with mild peril.

Clash of the Titans
I didn't hold much hope for this one and it pretty much lived up to my poor expectations. It was odd to see both Tony and Effy from Skins dressed up as ancient greeks. Also, Voldemort as Hades. Much better. However the title is very very misleading as it is really "build up to a fight between something that is a bit like a Titan but isn't even one of the original ones and a Demi-God called Perseus. Well, Pete Postlethwaite was in it too, so that was good. Don't bother with it though, really.

The A Team
Wasn't all that brilliant. I was a bit confused by the plot. I was drawn in though and wanted to see what happened but there were not amazing moments to push it into being a great film.

Exam
This one was pretty darn good. A psychological thriller and even though it started in a pretty low key and not so enthralling way, I enjoyed it. It certainly gets you thinking and is pretty rewarding when you finally reach the end.

So, that's it for my film reviews. Life is good. :)
