Heartily scared

Swine flu.
I for one agree with Will that it is the Susan Boyle of illness.
Straight in the news and all over it.
And it's darn scary.

I had an odd day today, not bad, just odd.
Nothing very much actually happened.
Except I've now actually finished all of my art.
Done and dusted.

I started this thing to log my thoughts, feelings and experiences of each day.
But days like this one and for the next 6 weeks are just going to be, mainly, revision.

Joyful!

Hulabaloo

How come when I have loads of ideas to talk about in my blog it always falls on a day when it is far too late to actually have time to talk about them all.
I've just got in from being out in Newcastle at the cinema where we went to see the X Men origins film about Wolverine.

It was absoloutely amazing and I have a lot of things I really want to say about super powers and programs/books etc. that use them.
Instead I will just say that I still stand by my opinion that telekenisis would be my power of choice.

I'm far too tired to start a full winded discussion and so I shall leave it for a further blog project that I might even illustrate over the summer.

Right now I'm considering sleeping for hours and hours.
But in reality it'll only be about 7.
:(

Good evening all.

Here, there and everywhere

Well today was pretty OK.
Just little bits here and there.

Crossing the yard this morning there was this cat, this time alive.
A boy was yelling "Come here Bob, you cannot miss tutor" at it.
Which seemed idiotic but I smiled at him because I found it fairly amusing.

During Psychology Laura referred to the fruit in her lunch box that had just fallen off the table as her "bruiseables".

During last lesson Maddy and I went into town to search for bits of our fancy dress costumes for Ross' party on Saturday.
She needed a white dress and one of the first we saw was a dungaree skirt affair and I decided she should go as a "dunger-faerie".
Alas, she found a better one and got the regular dress.
There were some shoes that looked like they had a wodge of dead moths on them.
I splurged on two books.
But from charity shops it reduced the price of Atonement in my pants and Skeleton Key in my pants down to £4.50 instead of their RRP of £13.

The rain is driving me insane.
Cadets was full of small children.

The anger I hold for NSG is beyond sensible.

This diary entry by Alex Day is just immense:

"Tuesday, Apr. 28, 2009 - 6:43 pm
THE BEST EMAIL

Sent by Alan:

"What's NSG's phone number? Hank is going to call him."

It doesn't matter that he didn't pick up; that's the best email of all time.

I'm in Tom's studio listening to Indigo and Autumnsong and they're lovely. This album's much better than his first (coming from someone who likes the first a lot).

I also have a team of people across the UK and US listening to Externinate, Regenerate in Logic to see if they can finish the album for us, so I'm optimistic about that :) you guys are awesome.

Alex"

Optimism is the way forward.

I'm popping over to my other blog to review a book and posting this.
Till tomorrow!

Henry V

I started out today too early.
Waking when the sun comes up is just daft but not being able to go back to sleep again is past ridicule.

I used almost a whole pen's worth of ink in all the writing I did today.

Mum says I'm using too much bandwidth or something.
I've got to stop watching stuff on iPlayer it seems.

However I'm very sorry but I had to indulge in some Lemon Demon because I realised Neil has some of them for free download on their band page.

So they're now on la Zen.

I really just want to read tonight so I'm posting this and going for a shower.

Happy (belated) Birthday Dad

We went out for a meal for my Dad's Birthday (that was on Wednesday) today.
It was at the Ramside and I ate so much I thought I would burst, then a load of family came back to our house.

We ended up playing a few game and such including "Tell Me" and "Casting Stones".

At one hilarious point my cousin had sent me a text of something he didn't want me to read out loud and I had also got one from Jen and so I read hers out.
In the end it sounded like Matthew was having trouble finding a dress.
:D

I really need to get Synoptic quotations learnt.
I've written out loads onto tiny bits of card but I'm scared they wont be in my brain tomorrow.

I cannot wait to film this weeks video for Hazelizabeth. Dealing out Hazel's punishment and wittering on.

:)

Harbouring trepidation

I'm a bit worried.
My internet protection says it cannot fix itself because of an error.
I think I'll just need to restart my computer though.
It might be because it is still doing a scan.

I watched 4 episodes of Doctor Who while doing Synoptic revision notes today.

Best bits this time include:
"No, no, no, you're not keeping the horse"
"I let you keep Mickey"

"The Doctor is worth the monsters"

I love the way the Doctor always licks things to see their origins or what have you.
Little habits to remind you that he isn't human.

I started writing my CV today so I can apply for a summer job.
I really need to put a bit more effort in though.
So far it's a tiny bit basic.

Never mind that.
I planned to film a video response for Johnny's meme today, and didn't.
Gutted!
I also anticipated having some huge revelation to type about.
But I didn't.

I shall listen to DFTBA radio and keep Synoptic-ing.

Friday 24 April 2009

Hey! Hey! What a wonderful kind of day!

Today was best after school.
Caitlin came over for tea and we went to Rangers and listened to music and ate cake and frozen fruit.

Singing along to "be prepared" from the Lion King is EPIC.

I'm not really in the mood to type much today but I don't want to skive out on BEDA.

I'm trying to think of something good to say but instead I'll leave you with this.

Thursday 23 April 2009

Happy Birthday Shakespeare!

In English today our amazing teacher had made us all little cakes to celebrate Shakespeare's Birthday.
We all sat around a table as she put a little candle in each bun and we took it in turns to light a candle on a cake and say why we love Shakespeare.
It was a beautiful experience and just sums up the essence of why I love English Literature and why I am going to miss it so much.

After school today I walked to Caitlin's house so I could see her because she hasn't been very well at all recently and it was really nice to catch up even if she's only just got her voice back I talk enough so that it doesn't matter!

I had something else I was going to mention.
OH!
Emily Gorman today, unbeknown to her started singing wizard rock.
Maddy and I were listening to Durmstrang Boy and generally being a bit nerdy and Emily said, I wish there was a Harry Potter musical.
This might not seem odd to you guys but Emily isn't usually in on the nerd stuff.
TBH she was crazily factually incorrect but I decided to humour her.

She sang "I wanna be a Quidditch star, fancy broom, fancy scar(ah), Voldemort knows where I are" to that tune... dunno it but it was fairly funny.

Oh dear, that doesn't seem nearly as amusing here as it was in real life.

It's the 23rd already. 45 days to my first exam and Beda is almost over :(

I'll carry on blogging daily of course it's just that this little project seemed huge and its more than 2/3 gone!

I can hear Hazel singing from the bathroom which signifies it is late.

Toodles y'all.

Wednesday 22 April 2009

HUGH

I took advantage of the sun today and spent 2 out of 3 frees and all of lunch time on the benches outside the sixthform block going through war poetry and picking out good quotations. And talking about Harry Potter. There is no escape as the new film gets closer I feel the need to scourgify if I make any sort of mess, to accio my phone when I need it and to make constant references to it where Maddy and I will end up in fits of laughter at the fact I can recite Ginny's Valentine from Book 2 word for word in the exact voice from the tape version.

The name of this blog comes from a conversation I had with Jen today about the name Hugh. We decided it's OK to marry someone with this name but not to call your child it. Yelling it to get attention makes you extend it and it sounds Ridikulus! (I cannot help it!)

My Young Gifted and Talented mag came in the post today, it had an article about Galileo in it which was rather spiffy.

We got given Easter eggs by our Choir teacher today to say thanks for our two Easter concerts.

It's Dad's Birthday today and we had lovely lovely Chinese food for tea.
MMMMMMMMmmmm.

I now need to sort out my Synoptic file for tomorrow into some semblance of order.

Tuesday 21 April 2009

Hoohah

School today was really odd.
Not in a bad way though.
I always am anti-Tuesdays, there is something about them that sends me a bit #urgh#.
But surprisingly I worked my way through the day with very little annoyance and quite a few laughs.
One of these was an observation that I think the number 7 should never be written with a little line through it.
It isn't sticking arms out as if balancing, it's a number.

Megan mentioned in her blog that all of mine start with the letter H.
For people (like my BEDA girls) who have only started reading about my life recently this may seem strange. But I started this blog in September with blogs that had the letter "A" and so on, changing each month. Subsequently May will be "I".

I thought I'd answer her questions here too.
-What is your favorite movie quote ever?
For me this is quite difficult because I cannot pinpoint one right now but I constantly reel them off throughout any regular day.
Right now it would have to be, "Just keep swimming" from Finding Nemo.

-If you were an inanimate object, what would you be?
I considered a hoody, a notebook, and a really annoying but informative device.
But honestly I think a hole punch, useful and nifty, creates little pretty things but only sometimes.

-What is the best book you've read in 2009?
I've not read many yet having been so busy but it's a close one between "The Book Thief" and "Double Cross". The first is a magnificent stand alone, the second the latest in a STUNNING series.

-What band can you not get enough of right now?
I have the DFTBA records album on repeat.
Tom Milsom
Blue October

Both Lori and Jeanette have done these too so to be uber interactive this is mine:

Hiccups

Oh today was lovely despite it being a return to school.
Sitting outside in the sun is just magnificent.

I'm going to write this all in one go today because I sort of want to get off the computer so I can get on with some other things.
Admittedly these other things are only homework.
But they need to be done and sitting on my bed reading and watching things online is not going to get me any A levels.
Eating a muffin isn't either but darn these Mum made ones are lovely.

While I was writing myself a letter on Futureme I got the hiccups.
They're just so irritating.

There are a fair few people online, mainly Nerimon, who are cutting down on their internet usage.
Now I'm doing this too but mainly to concentrate on revision.
But it's half 5 in the afternoon and I'd quite like to be reading a book.
Instead I'm going to edit a photo, save an essay to my pendrive, close my computer, write an introduction, and some quotations to my ceiling, do some art and THEN read a bit of an autobiography.

BOI!

Sunday 19 April 2009

How have these 16 days gone so fast?

Tomorrow I'm back to school.
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.
It's my last ever term of it.
Only 50 days till my first exam.
Less than 20 of those in school.
Oh dear.

I had a beautifully antithesisy breakfast today.
Rice cakes with peanut butter and chocolate spread.
Delicious.
Not healthy.

House of Pain came on the radio I thought I was getting a text but nope.
:(
A girl text Jon Richardson (a radio presenter for those unaware) to tell him she is going to go see McFly 6 times in 2 months.
MENTAL!

I am sure that I would adore to own this Cadegoestocollege t-shirt.

But I'm going to design one that says "Check the doobillydoo" instead because WheezyWaiter is clearly better.

Concentration is tough.
I need to hide all my distractions and pare my life down to the minimums.

So what do I do?
Take on three BEDA buddies who are bound to be awesome and I'm going to have to disappoint them with my mediocre blogs.

Synoptic essay is well planned at 5:21 pm.
I hope I can get it fully written out and all my context done before 8 tonight so I can have a leisurely quote night where I'm going to blu-tack bits of card with the best quotations on all over my ceiling.

We shall see.

But I'm going to post this now, early, so I cannot keep coming online.

Till tomorrow.

Hakuna Matata

Hi BEDA buddies!

I tell you what, my life feels decidedly un-Hakuna Matata at the moment.
There are plenty of things to worry about.

The Toclafane might be coming.
Not really.

But it's nearly exams.
It's scary.

There is something.
Actually a LOT of somethings that I find in common between Harry Potter and The Winter's Tale.
I want to write an essay on it.
I know I won't.

16 years (give or take) between Leontes and Perdita/Hermione's reunion.
16 years between Harry being 1 and Voldys attempt on his life and the Battle of Hogwarts on May 2nd when he's 17.

Oh dear, I indulged a bit in my ideas.
They keep cropping up the more I revise TWT and the more I read about Potter.

No, it's NOTHING to do with the name Hermione.
And really there isn't that much the same.
Just little things, metaphorical ideas.
Distractions.
Alas, earwax.

"Books, the best weapons in the world!"
I really LOVE Dr. Who.

"ferrero rocher"
Ah Hazel how the tales of your dreams amaze me.

Today seems to be a collection of random ideas.

Hmm, that's just the way my brain seems to be processing.

Edit!
My new video is up. Week 19 already!

Friday 17 April 2009

Hastily composed

Today was supposed to be a day of silence.
I sort if talked...

Woke at 7 read till 10 20
And got a fair bit of my context drafted.

I was doing some reading about HP online and came across this:

The Jarvey resembles an overgrown ferret, and is commonly found in Britain, Ireland, and North America. The Jarvey is capable of Human speech, although true conversation with a Jarvey is impossible. The creature uses short, usually rude, statements and phrases in an almost constant stream.

It reminds me of the arctic foxes in Pulman's world.

I went out tonight with my friends but planned to come home early anyway.
It was nice.

I'm very tired now though so I'm just quickly typing this.

Thursday 16 April 2009

Hold the fish!

My 200th blog post on this thing.
Would you believe!

So today I went out with my very good friend Jennifer.
We went down to the Sands to the fair, it was pretty empty apart from the fair grannys and a huddle of chavs.
We went on the two best rides there.
The music was hilarious and the bars never come down far enough to feel safe.

We then walked up into town to do some (mainly window) shopping and I bought a lovely coloured nail varnish.
I tried on some heels to show and prove to Jen why flats are necessary for my existence.
We went to the little coffee shop called Leonard's by the river.
Mmmm hot chocolate.
I found a good extra bit of Birthday present for Ross and a book for me.
Oh and the best punishment ever to store up for Sisterhood2.0
It's not really that but it seems like it.
But we have a lovely bi weekly digest so as not to bore you senseless with our revision filled lives!

x

p.s.
I should't have started Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
It will be pulling at my attention till I finish it now.

GAH!

stop when full

Hard to think of a good blog title again

So.
Waking up after dreaming about sleeping in a tree is odd.
Unusual too but Hazel says it is because I fell asleep surrounded by revision.
Which is true enough.

So I sat and listened to a whole host of DFTBA podcasts and caught up with them while I wrote up notes on war poetry and other particularly war related literature

We went to the DLI today, a museum that doubles as a bit of an art gallery.
There was a LEGO exhibition and so I made this, mainly because I do in fact like giraffes but also because I was wearing my Johnny top.

There he is, he fitted in perfectly with the tree that someone else had made.

Tomorrow I'm going to meet up with Jen and we're going to meander around town and go to the fair that's here now.

:]

As I was typing this my lovely Mum brought me an umbrella shaped chocolate, it's an Easter one with carrot looking tin foil covering it.

Om nom nom.

I want to be written letters again.
Hmmmm.

Tuesday 14 April 2009

Harmony

While I made notes on Psychology and English I re watched some Dr Who through the amazing bbc iplayer.

The New Earth episode (ep1season2) reminded me a bit of the island film we recently watched in RE, about cloning for the "greater good" and how thoroughly wrong and disgusting it is to mass produce seemingly unconscious clones for medicinal advances.
Also seeing "Casandra" inside Tennant was one of those mega moments that just make you grin.

I then watched Journeys End (end of series 4)
Just as the Doctor takes the timelordy bit out of Donna there can be heard 4 knocks, He's saying sorry and there is a bang bang bang bang.
Perhaps this prophesied monster has been chasing him for a longer time than he is aware and it's been close for longer than he thought too.

I finished my Winter's Tale notes for each scene.
I need to do themes though.

But tomorrow I must dedicate myself to Synoptic.

Alas.

Goodnight.

I want to work for props and costume on Dr. Who, please?

snog marry avoid what an addictive but obscure show

I just heard on the radio that they're still finding bits of a person who's been killed. It reminded my of Ted Bundy. I'm scared to realise that there are still maniacs out there :(

I've taken quite a lot of the postcards/photos/pictures off my ceiling and it looks awfully bare.

Ah well.

Monday 13 April 2009

Hallelujah

Internet that stays connected!
Home again!
And yet what is this?
I just got that notification of connecting... which means I disconnected.
Argh!

Those msn viruses are getting on my nerves so much.
Not only do people who I never talk to insist on sending my links to badly spelled or terribly worded website that very often have their msn address hidden in there to try and make it look "authentic" but seriously, who clicks on a link sent by an offline person when it's the first thing they say?

Hazel's just got home from paintballing, I can hear her, I've got to go see.
She seems to have had a mega time albeit she's a bit bruised.

I found myself physically incapable of watching the end of this weeks episode of My Family. It was so excruciatingly obvious that Susan was going to ruin everything that I actually just left the room.

Tomorrow I promise myself I won;t come online till I've done a serious amount of Synoptic revision.

Sunday 12 April 2009

Hem hem (the noise of a cough)

Well.
For Easter I got some Jaffa cakes and Dodgeball on DVD.
Hazel got HSM3, god help me when I have to watch that.

I think I ought to mention that I DID enjoy the Dr. Who special last night despite the fact it was very cheesy and the effects weren't up to much.
Also I really didn't like Cristina.

I'd read a lot about the episode before I saw it in the Dr. Who magazine so I was expecting something epic.
I did enjoy it though, very much, it just didn't compare to many of other episodes.
I wasn't even that scared by the thingwotsit monsters (it shows how unimpressed I was by them because I cannot even remember their names).

Well we're currently listening to Jon Richardson and later will be going to see some Great Something relatives.

Then the the house of Lords.
(That's my cousins btw).

I might re-edit this later but I also might not.
Oh look I edited it!

The food we had at lunch time was so good.
We had one of those three birds in one roasts.
And an excess of potato and veg and it was scrumptious.
We played a fair few card/board games too which resulted in some amusing times.

It's going to be time to eat again soon and I don't think I can face it!

Ah well.

Saturday 11 April 2009

Hog's Head

I saw a pub called this today but was too slow to get my camera out and we'd driven past.

We went to Salts Mill today an art gallery come shopping area.
The book shop is IMMENSE and I've added about another 16 or so books to my "to read list".
The art shop was lovely too and I got another new sketchbook which I really want to fill up over the summer.

I keep planning to do all these things but I really need a job too.
To balance is going to be difficult because I really want to invest some time into watching films I've never seen, tv series' too.
Hmmm.

I have to get past the hurdles of revision first which is going to be hard because all I want to do right now is read Harry Potter through again.
I made a mistake bringing the 6th one with me here because it's been all I've been able to do.

I've only got a few chapters left now though so that's good.

I can hear Hazel editing her video for this week.

Ooo la laaa

Friday 10 April 2009

Hoping there will be internet to use in Leeds

I just realised I might fail BEDA!
If I cannot connect to the internet in Leeds I might have a problem!

So I do have a sort of connection but it is very vague.
Still good enough for Hazel and I to start watching Brotherhood 2.0 from the beginning again.
We've got up to Jan 22nd until we were both too tired.

We ate out at a pub made of an old ship.
Or something.
It was very very good food.

I've got the phrase *special friend* stuck in my head.

Might re:edit this later if I think of anything else to say.

Thursday 9 April 2009

Hard to think of a title

We finished watching Harry Potter 5 this lunch time.
We've watched a bit a day for the last three days.
It seems a fair few people have watched it this holiday too.
Charlie has.
Hazel's friend Craig.

I spent this morning taking photos of myself in all of my different tops.
Well I meant to but I only got through half before lunch.
I should do the rest while it is still light but I've stretched my back a bit.

Ok they're all taken except the ones that are currently in the wash.
It's so embarrassing, I have over 100 but most of them are old/small/washed out/hideous.

I was scared I wouldn't find anything in what I own to go out next Friday night.
But I've found an old skirt of my mums, which adds colour to an otherwise bland black top.

Should work fine.

Sorry for not being at all amusing today.

Wednesday 8 April 2009

Happy Birthday Alex Day

Sorry, I'm having a fangirl day.

We went to see the Penguin Book Covers exhibition today.
It was Nerdfightastic.
It made me remember to add Day of the Triffids and Lady Chatterly's Lover to my reading list.

We got in and there is a message thing from the post office to say that we missed a parcel, it has GOT to be our Johnny Durham t-shirts.
I'm mega excited.

I copied this from Alan's blog earlier.

Using only song titles from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Try not to repeat a song title. It's harder than you think.

Pick Your Artist: The Red Hot Chili Peppers (I'm just going to use the ones in my Zen and browse)

Are you male or female: Catholic School Girls Rule
Describe yourself: Blackeyed Blonde
How do you feel about yourself: You Always Sing the Same
Describe where you currently live: Parallel Universe
If you could go anywhere, where would you go: Road Trippin'
Your favorite form of transportation: Battleship
Your best friend is: She's Only 18
Your favorite color is: Purple Stain
What's the weather like: Behind the Sun
Favorite time of day: Get Up And Jump
If your life was a tv show, what would it be called: Castles Made Of Sand
What is life to you: My Friends
What is the best advice you have to give: Save the Population
If you could change your name, what would it be: If
Your favorite food is: Readymade
Thought for the Day: True Men Don't Kill Coyotes
How I would like to die: Naked in the Rain
My soul's present condition: Universally Speaking
The faults I can bear: Hard to Concentrate
My motto: Throw Away Your Television

I liked that.

I love life.
I haven't got much done apart from my art essay.

but I'm listening to Adam and Joe and the world is lovely

Tuesday 7 April 2009

How has it got to this

It's Tuesday already.
It's nearly 2 on Tuesday.
I've had a hair cut.
It's not too different.
I love this sunny weather.
I made a mistake taking Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince with me to read at the hairdressers.
It just makes me want to read them all.
When I know reality calls for me to learn quotations.

Reality today consisted of Omegle and the Inbetweeners.

Urgh.

Must get work done.

BYE

Monday 6 April 2009

Hmmm.

Hard work is difficult to start.
I woke up early today and did some reading.
Then some internet.
It's now 10:18.
I've decided to type up some more book titles and tidy a bit before I do any work.
First I MUST send Alex those swirls.
That's sent.

Right, a few days ago I decided that I should go through my drafts in my phone, type them up and explain them.
It'll be a place for me to remember them in more detail and I can then delete them out of my phone.
They might also be fairly interesting and or amusing if only for me.

The first is "Bag of ferrets fighting"
This is in reference to Guiders, you know, the huge ones with kankles.
When they walk their bums look like a "bag of ferrets fighting", an apt description I heard in a guiding story over a year ago and loved so much I drafted it.

The second is merely the word "Cremaster", the name of a piece of art I read about but also the technical term for the muscle that controls the lowering and raising of the testicles.

The third - "Michael James Vandergoot 4th".
Steph went out with the 3rd I think, she was telling of how scared she would be to hypothetically spawn a child with the name.

Fourth is a name and website, "Johnhinde.com voodoo dolls".
When I was on Outward Bound over the summer we visited Pooley Bridge on our day out.
In the post officey shop they had some of these voodoo doll on sale.
They were quite cool so I decided to keep a note of them and look into them when I got home.
8 months later... I cannot seem to access his website.
:(

Fifth - "Gramoto; greek f word x" Bojan's word of wisdom.
Need I explain further.

Sixth - "How you spent that dash"
This was the poem that was read to us on the last night at OBU after we had spent 3 weeks together learning and developing having good and bad and generally knackering times.

I read of a man who stood to speak,
At the funeral of a friend,
He referred to the dates on his tombstone,
From the beginning … to the end.
He noted that first came his date of birth,
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all,
Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time,
That he spent alive on earth,
And now only those who loved him,
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars… the house.. The cash,
What matters is how we live and love,
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard,
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough,
To consider what’s true and real,
And always try to understand,
The way other people feel,
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more,
And love the people in our lives,
Like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash,
Might only last a little while.
So, when you eulogy’s being read,
With your life’s actions to rehash,
Would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?

It's lovely isn't it?

Seventh - "We are looping sequences of chemical conversions, acting ourselves converted. We are twists of genes acting ourselves twisted; we are wicks of burning neuroses acting ourselves wicked. And nothing to be done about it." This is from the sequel to Wicked, Son of a Witch. I liked it. It just seemed sort of poetic.

Eighth - "Esser. We can work this out. You got me in a headlock"
I can only imagine that this is a band I saw. I liked their song.

Ninth - "Geek pact. Harry Potter"
I wrote about this the other day, it's from our day at the Sage

Tenth - "Skins you like a cucumber"
This is from one of those moments when you seriously question society.
I was walking across the yard to the sixth form block and a child was dribbling a tennis ball nearby, just before he pelted it to his friend I heard him mutter this.
Odd indeed.

Eleventh - "Van Gough chopped his knob off"
I've already blogged about this too.

Twelfth - "Time flies when you've got your head in someone's crotch"
Daniel and Coxy hilarity.

Thirteenth - "Peter Pan fluffy in the mouth. Mashed potato"
You know those moments when you say something and then instantly regret it because what you said was absolute gibberish. Poor Daniel will regret saying "Peter Pan fluffy in the mouth" for a very long time. I do believe it is a fair few years since he first said it. Oh dear.

Fourteenth - Omnomnom. Against a wall?"
Despite this being the most recent I have very little idea what it refers to.
I know the first bit is the Grand National. The second is anybody's guess.

That's it.
For the rest of the day I plan to get work done so there will be little to blog about.

Hmmm.

Bye then, till tomorrow.

Harping on and on

Sorry that I keep mentioning my hard drive.
But it has taken up a large portion of my thoughts recently.
I was clearing though old school documents today and found this that I wrote when I was in year 9.
It is VERY clear that I had been reading a lot of scary short stories at the time.

The Assassin.

She perched precariously on the three-legged stool, which was slowly sinking into the sodden earth, and pulled her hood further down, over her forehead. From a distance she blended in perfectly with the murky green grass. She pulled one of her boots from the ground and crossed and uncrossed her legs impatiently. The once lush green turf had slowly morphed into a muddy lake. Her startling blue eyes peered out from under finely shaped auburn eyebrows, her face was calm and serene, only her never blinking eyes portrayed the determination and hatred that was gathering inside her, like the storm clouds above. Not long now, she thought. Through the muggy air drifted the all knowing sent of death.

The clouds above deepened as behind them the sun, whose constant brightness was long forgotten in the constant downpour, began its final farewell. A few stray rays of magenta light broke through a slit in the unending carpet, and after forcing through the towering firs, lit up the abandoned barn with the burning intensity of real flames. The dry stone wall over the road caught a small amount of these snatches of sun and showed the raindrops shining on the mossy surface. Like an old mans bones the gate creaked as the wind hustled past, the lamp above flickered into life.

The rain petered out into as fine misty drizzle and a car, not so different to the colour of the weather, drew up the drive and came to an abrupt halt. Out of it stepped a woman, you know the sort, tall and blonde with a fine figure. She crunched up the pebbled drive, cursing as the rain curled her hair, and stepped into the sphere of orange light that surrounded the towering lamp. It lit up her perfectly chiselled face. She shivered, it may have been the cold; also a warning, and then pulled her fashionable coat further over her chest in an attempt to stay warm. She reached for the bell and the assassin realised, now or never.

Weeks of sneaking out, with the rifle, when he thought she was learning Spanish. Going down to the park each week to shoot the clay pigeons, practicing, perfecting till she was confident and ready. All the time leaving him and that woman together. It all boils down to these few seconds. This will teach him, she thought, what a fool he has been. Without a flutter of hesitation her finger found the trigger, and squeezed. The gun jumped. But she had calculated perfectly and the bulled hit the target. The body’s life drained visibly away as a fount of blood burst from her. She slumped to the ground and emitted a faint thud.

The assassin stood, leaving her belongings behind a small shrub, where she could return for them later. Taking only the rifle she walked, tripping slightly on invisible tussocks of grass she picked her way down the slope to the house. The same scene as usual met her gaze, only the victim’s body, still with a look of surprise stamped on her features, was out of place. She swatted at the moths that hovered around the flickering lamp, and caught one with the back of her hand, the life left it with such ease, she had become good at this, a killing machine. Soon her husband would be investigating to see where his girl was. What a surprise it would be to him when he opens the door, not to his lover, but to his wife, pointing his own rifle into his own startled eyes. A smirk breached the corner of her mouth, but she quickly hid it. She wanted to remain emotionless, which was easy, apart from the triumph reflected in her eyes.

It was probably the best thing I'd written up to that point in my life, I've never really been that good at English Language, I much preferred ripping apart the writing of others instead!

Right now I'm listening to Jon Richardson and deciding what to wear while I do a customary holiday floor clear.

Phwoar, Captain Jack on my calendar :D

The Buttercup Syrup cough sweets are FOUL.

I finished my Nerdfighter shoes.
Leaving only a small space for the future.

If you click on it you'll get A3 detail!

Right.
That is that done.
I want my computer off.

"the fhumngj mjku threy fkrfimk thrujm gbfhjujfk ghy jgmti g"

Hazel found her Baby All Gone pot of food, it says that on the side.
It comes up no where on the interwebs through a google search.
Oh crazy 90s toys.

How you ever?

[I've had my comp on for 2 hours and haven't started writing this, for which there is too much to write for or even started clearing my hard drive.

I had a shower. I feel ready to write.]

Reached that point when you don't know how, where or when to start?
I started by writing, in pencil because I didn't want to switch my computer on and get distracted, then I did switch it on to type up and managed to not even reach the point of starting to type for 3 hours.
You see my problem?

I shall write about yesterday later, when I get round to sorting photos and video, thing is before I can do that I need to clear space.

I got in the house just after 3 last night and made sure my alarm was reset for later and slept.

Woke at 9:50 to the sounds of Tom Milsom.

I opened the post I'd got, a good luck with exams one from Lancaster Uni (remind me, look at accommodation!)
2 Congrats on driving pass cards.
And the newest edition of Art World.

I started reading that and only got a few pages in before I started having ideas I had to write down again.

Going to have a shower then type up the first half of my blog.
I did that.
I didn't win.
I'm gutted I didn't go for Mon Meme, I almost did because it reminded me of "Omnomnom", I could have had £50.
Shame on me.
I've just caught up with homestarrunner's teen girl squad!
:D

Listening to the Pottercast while editing photos is fun.

Video DONE

Yesterday was GREAT. The Winter's Tale was IMMENSE like you wouldn't believe.
The books falling and the bear and that recurring page, the imagery and acting was beautiful.
We spent a few hours in a park in the sun relaxing too.

How now brown cow?

r-word.org

Right, today was OK.
Lovely and sunny.
I rushed off an English essay.
Sat in the sun doing a collage.
Finished the Winter's Tale in time for tomorrow.
Had a hilarious conversation with some year 8's who were pushing in the dinner queue about Van Gough.
He chopped his ear off not his knob you fools.
Stuck more pencil shavings down in art and sang along to songs that started with "I want".
Had a bit natter with Hannah in English.
Spent two hours on the Sixthform Leavers 09 Yearbook cover.
It's ok but I wish I'd had longer to do a better job.
At home I've eaten and I want to sleep early.
