Kindness

So today consisted of another trip to Leeds to see Grandad, cousins and co.
After the customary meal at the Cornmill we set off to visit out Autie Clara whose Birthday it is.
102
ONE HUNDERED AND BLIDDY TWO
She did say "I thought I was only 100"
Then again last week she thought she was 60.
When asked for her one wish as she blew out the candles on her cake she wished for a trip to the seaside.
If there is anything more heart breakingly beautiful than that sentiment please send it my way.
Awh gosh.
The cake was gooood though.

We offered to help at my Uncle's Camera/Art shop show set up thing as they had to transfer and set up their ENTIRE shop in the Town Hall rooms next door because of building works.
This took us ages but was relatively fun.
Some of the art work is just SUPERB. I can also put it down as work experience, helping to curate an art exhibition.

We went for a meal afterwards at a Chinese restaurant.
It was scrummy but SO filling.
The conversation was pretty great though.
It was mainly music, films, Uni and Cameras.
Which, granted, is expected.
It's nerdy and fun and I hardly get to talk to Tom and Matt so it was really nice.
Just as we were getting in the car I was trying to explain what I know about Youtube and Adsense but didn't really get it told properly.
Nevermind.
I wish I could make money from this.

I think I have a few anecdotes in draft texts that I should type up but I need to get this posted, if I can get any signal what so ever.

Last day of silly K blogs at least.

Kiwi

Right. My mp3 player is driving me INSANE.
I thought to myself right, lets finish converting the Wrock from silly iTunes mpeg4 to mp3 so that Zen'll play it.
Then half way through the songs it's now playing bits of other ones!

SERIOUSLY
During a MOM song there were bits of Remus Lupins and with Myrtle there was MoM.
I think it might be old and have been dropped too many times.
But I don't want it to die!

I've put on other music and it MIGHT just be the stuff I converted today. We'll see.
Hmm, there was no problem with elbow but then when I went back to Wrock there was no problem anymore.

Today I went on a pointless trip to close a bank account that Mum set up for me, I couldn't because, despite it being MY money, Mum started it so she has to close it.

While I was there I bought a RNLI duck though so that felt good.
I felt it was me being part of the Youtube Mystery Package thing. But not.

"He is my pain my sliver, a cinder in my skin, orphan child of James and Lily do you really think you'll win, I am your waking nightmare, the chill that soaks my spine, I'll fry your veins with venom, the boy who lived you will die."

I get lost in this song. I love it.

YOU ARE MY OBSESSION
A FIRE BURNING STRONG

It's powerful.

Bahzoom.
I was writing today but it was terrible so I stopped.

Kibble

Kibble: the bucket in a well.

I woke up and finished Bermudez today.

Heard Mum shout:
"Pooing in my garden... I'll have yer, go on, pshhh"
at a cat around 10:38.

Helped with the gardening.
Posted a letter.
Watched Truly Madly Deeply while I half sorted some beads.
(I adore Alan Rickman)
Read (and finished reading later) a really long fic.

Watched the end of Cars.

Became MONDAY on thesexymacaroni!
I'm part of a collab channel!
SQUEE!

Oh and right now, I'm going to sleep.

Kakorrhaphiophobia

A fear of failure.

I had a hair cut today... it doesn't look different it's just neater. I didn't want anything drastic, I like it plain and long.
Hazel's looks really nice though, short at the back and long near the front.

There are quirks in the English language that I really like. The way we say "full stop" when Americans say "period" and yet both are used not only for punctuation but are used in conversation to mean something final, that someone is putting their foot down. There are no more instructions to follow.

Nice and simple?

I started Bermudez Triangle today, it's pretty good.

I'm going offline before I spend all night on again.

Kneazles and Krups

After previously feeling Wrock bereft I'm up to 148 songs, that's 7.8 hours so far :D
Although I think a fair few are doubles because iTunes confuses me.

BYRON
The club footed sherbet eating promiscuous scandal-mongering celebrity, he claimed women didn't have souls.
I wish they'd shown this program two months ago.

My day consisted of listening up a lot of PotterCast interviews and sorting through a box of photos and postcards.
Actually drawing something for once as well!

"OH Life, it's bigger, it's bigger than you, and you are not me."
Why REM, why must you stick in my head when I haven't listened to you?

Krank it back

So. You'll just have to put up with my "epic long blog syndrome"

Wednesday 22nd July. Word for word out of the diary I wrote because it's too much effort to photograph it all.

So, I have this notebook and I thought I should use it to write in the times I would usually blog. But in here it's going to be quite different because I have to think about how I'm going to write everything first time around so I have to slow down the writing process quite dramatically. There is no spellcheck and I have to try really hard to keep my handwriting this neat. I haven't written in an ink pen in forever and I thought such a fancy diary merited bringing one back to life!
I'm still home right now, it's 8:49am on the 22nd July 2009 and it is the day I travel to London to stand atop the plinth in Trafalgar Square as one of 2400 people taking part in Antony Gormley's 'One and Other'.
I've got to sort out and pack up my things.
---
It's five to two now and we're on the train. It's even more difficult now to stay legible due to the jolting movements. We've just passed through Doncaster.
There is an oldish man in the 4th seat of our table wearing a rather snazzy suit.
Oh dear, I'm listening to my 'Wizard Rock' playlist and the Creevy Crisis have just come on. Oh, I don't mean to be rude, but they aren't very good singers. The music is nice enough but not enough for me to want to keep listening.
This ink is supposed to be blue but this pen was last black so it's only just becoming noticeable that it's blue.
Gred and Forge are just hilarious, one of the things I adore with Wrock is the utter FUN that it really is. Enjoying and loving things beyond a casual 'like' is the point of being a nerd. Enthusiasm to take something admirable and extend it.
I was reading SFX, the mag I decided to get for the train journey, for some reason the new doctor is 7 on the top 50 SF influency people and Tennant isn't on there at all! Crazy days.
My thought process is limited to thinking about the possibility of rain tonight. Grr!
---
Travel scrabble @3.30.
---
10:23 - We're watching Ugly Betty in our Travel Lodge room. It's room 321! I was just stood brushing my teeth and the shower was drip, drip splashing on my side!
Anyway, I guess I should talk through what's happened.
When we got to Kings Cross we sorted out the tube to 'Tower Hill', dropped off our bags, headed to 'Embankment', ate a chicken salad at Pizza Express, it was strange flavoured but still pretty good. I loved my desert though, ice cream with bits of chocolate fudge cake. Bad boy flirting on Ugly Betty.
When at Pizza Express I went to the loo and pretty much all of the locks were broken. Then Mum did one of the funniest things, when the hand dryer didn't work she stapped back and returned 'as if she were a different person'.
We were just in time to reach the 'One and Other' porta-cabin thing in Trafalgar Square at 6:20, I had to be there 1 and a half hours before so that was good.
They gave me a t-shirt, I was security checked and I put my things in the middle locker, the one with the PINK keyring!
I had to have an interview with the girl called Alex and I talked about how I found out about it and youtube and things.
They took a photo too and the camera kept making a strange squeaky noise. Oh and then I used their laptop to tweet. The guy who was up 6-7 came off and was so cool and enthusiastic. I got miked up and onto the cherry picker. I felt all wavery but as soon as I sat down on the plinth and pumped up the first balloon I was off making geometric shapes.
Well, triangle things, pyramids if you like.
I worked through the rainbow , even getting a cheer when it was blue after the green. During the hour I made a bird, dog, giraffe and flower for the audience and a flower for the woman after.
Caitlin's brother Simon turned up to watch which was really nice! My cousin Matt sent so many texts throughout! I was pps 396 btw.
Writing has gone downhill.
There was this heckler who was friendly enough, but a bit strange, called me "baby" and his "future wife".
The journey back down I was buzzing and we sat and talked to the people in the cabin for a while.
Someone, a few someone's tweets, were really sweet about me being nerdy and the "balloon monstrosity" which was obviously one of the bits I said loud enough when I was recording for hazelizabeth. I really need to go back and printscreen those tweets, and bits of my hour. I had a headache but it's all ok now. Just past 11 so I'm going to bed.
---
Awoke this morning with Tom Felton song ringing around my head after a dream about super powers.
12:18 and we're sat on the train but TOT round the table we booked, for some reason our coach -D- is entirely missing!
Oh, it was out for maintenance and we've been relocated to G! A table so we can have our M + S picnic.

That's where the ink runs out.
That took over half an hour to type up!
That's insanity!
When we go away for our Swiss holiday I'll clearly have to condense the writing.
I haven't even told you guys about last night at "Opera in the Park" or the rest of today.
My arms hurt right now so I'll do that later!

SO, Saturday 25th we went to Temple Newsham to Opera in the park with plenty of family and friends.
After queueing for ages with our bags of picnic food and chairs (with Matt being told off for swinging the trifle when he wasn't!) we were released, along with 50,000 other people, into the grounds to stake a claim on a spot to sit till the sun goes down.
Just through the gates were some people with boxes, and a wheelbarrow, of... CRISPS!
For free, those big bags.
Being the sort of person, or people really, we all took hold of a bag.

Thing is, it didn't stop there, Haze, Matt and Dad went off to get more and came back with another 8 or so, a bag from the same company and around 15 oranges as well because someone else was handing those out!

Oh, I'm checking through my drafts in my phone to see what the best bits of last night were, one of them says "all the better for seeing you and hearing you" a quotation straight from Grandad... a bit scarily Red Riding Hood - esque but it wasn't sinister in reality.

At one point Juliet (who works with my Uncle Steven in his camera shop) was taking a photo and members of our group started saying quite loudly;
"That's a nice camera"
"I got it from an amazing camera shop in Brighouse"
"In Brighouse? I think I'll check out that camera shop in Brighouse!"
"There's a sale there on Monday"
"A sale? In a camera shop in Brighouse?"

This finished with someone, probably Matt, saying "this sparkling water is very alcoholic".

Another draft is "Porta urinal", that one speaks for itself.

Tom at one point said "I'm the worlds worst thrower". By itself this sentence seems neither amusing nor really pitiable and yet as it was related to the constant battle of orange throwing between him and Martin it was a fairly entertaining moment.

Later in the night I hear a distinct "bleh" noise from Hazel, accompanied by the words "that was me hitting the wall of orange" after clearly eating too much.

We managed to get out of the car park pretty quick after the whole night and were back at Grandad's for 11 ish.
We got a text of Matt, they got in at 12:12 because they were parked so far back.
BAHAHAH

WELL!
Today was a trip to the Cornmill for lunch. Somewhere my Grandad thinks is THE place to be and yet we managed to have Sunday lunch there in UNDER ONE HOUR.
Sitting around at Grandad's, going to visit Auntie Irene and Uncle Carl and then coming home.

Woo.
Oh and I'm going to thank Marissa here. There's 9 mins of Myrtle sending time left right now and my fingers are itching.

I wish there was a way to convert iTunes stuff to mp3 without burning to CD first!

Krum

There aren't many days of this month left. I'm sure L will have much more relevant words for titles.
I'm writing this before we go to "Opera in the Park" tonight because I'm not sure when we'll get back and if the internet will work then either because it's a bit hit and miss here.

Anyhoo, we came to Grandad's this morn so that we could have lunch with him.
We went to Morrison's.

Since then Haze and I have sat watching Banned/Funny/Stupid commercials on the tube and a couple of vlogbrothers videos.

I'm thinking this evening is going to be super fun as it's a massive picnic.
Seriously, I will type up the things from Wednesday.

K is for Kingfisher

I was aiming today to take photos of and edit and upload my diary entries from Wednesday and Thursday for this blog, but guess what?
My computer is at uber slow and I'm trying to get today's hazelizabeth uploaded before I go to sleep because we're going to be up too early for that to be done in the morning.
Editing that and saving and whatever has taken too long as has the other bazillion things I seem to have done so yeah, another day without photos or writings.

I started by waking up quite late then sorting through bits of my room to Potter 7. I've just finished Chapter 8.
I filmed my bit of video for the day and sorted through an envelope full of things that have fallen from my ceiling.

I went over to Caitlin's from 2-6 and we had a good old natter because it she's going away soon then I am before she gets back so it was good to have a catch up.
We spent over an hour on the topic of Harry Potter alone. Mainly the film (as we haven;t met up since we've both seen it) and then onto acting ability, comparisons to other films, the upcoming film and much more besides.
On eof the best bits was when we realised the complexity of Kreacher and Dobby and the realisation that a reader has about the elf magic order-y-ness and the subsequent Malfoy Manor rescue because of what happened with Reg. How in the film we know fine well they'll ignore that intricacy and just blur it over.

Then that led onto the topic of books in general. Delving into current reads, Cait's about the plague and mine "The Host" by Meyer (eurgh).
We watched the first ever episode of Hustle again too. :D
She also gave me a box of art stuff from one of her relatives that they don't need and that I'll have to sort through...

I came home to a lovely lasagne made by Mum. YUM.

Video is up and I've still got too much to do so, bye.

Kut in half

The best of the tweets about my hour.

I'm going to post the events of Thursday and this morning tomorrow once I've plugged my camera in and got some one the photos from Hazel.

My entire hour can be watched back here.

Only one day away from the computer and 39 emails a bazillions blogs and videos to watch.

AND my comp seems to be running slower than anything remotely sensible.
It's as if it KNOWS I have a LOT to do on here.
It's nearly 5 o'clock.
I bet even if I spend till 6 solidily on here I wont have even half the stuff I want to do, done.
Except for 30 mins off for tea and washing up I've spent from 5 till 9:30 online and really not got much sorted.
This shows that I'm not very good at time managing yet.

A dude tweeted me who does similar things to what I created on t'plinth.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ivan/sets/72157621580071941/

That's all I'll say for now till I get photos.

Kopy Kat

Ten things you'll hate about me!
I hope not really, just I thought I'd do a parody of a parody while I copied what both Ash and M have done in their blogs!

1. I keep all my beading equipment in a "Firebox.com" box that the "cube world" people came in.
2. Last night I plugged my mp3 player in to charge but the plug didn't go in fully and so it's still charging now -_-.
3. The bookmarks on my browser go: YouTube, Blogger, Twitter, Alex Day's diary, JohnnyDurham's website, Tom Milsom's website, the Ning, B3ta, Google, Facebook, Myspace, OMGPOP, Blog TV (Charlie's), Deviant Art, AvatarLog, SunnyNeo, Lablong!, TinyPic and the OutwardBound group on facebook. The rest are all behind the tiny extendy arrows.
4. I find it really difficult to "lie in" sleeping on a morning but can stay "in bed" sitting reading or whatever for an entire day.
5. I open up too many tabs online then never have time to work through them all, the worst thing is that I'll get half way through reading blogs or watching a video and then I'll just change tack and move on then have to start again later because I lost the gist.
6. I really miss writing with ink pen so I've started an "AFK" diary with one that I'm only going to write in on days I can't blog, like today and then I'll maybe photograph it and load it up here. This is deffo what I'll do when in Switzerland.
7. We have like, 2.5 hours till we set off on our One and Other adventure.
8. At the end of my bed right now is a box that should have paint in but instead it has wooden flowers an Eyeore pez dispenser (with no pez) and two glue sticks. Sigh.
9. In year 9 I made a cushion in the shape of a jelly bean.
10. The longest dress I own is also the cheapest. £1!

Also, I guess you might know some of the things if you actually know me IRL...

Kwestchuns

"Is it true that when you feed horses sausages they grow an extra leg?"

I hope I'm in the zone of proximal writing ability today.
Although really you can't expect me to gather great amounts to blather about when my main source of anything today was watching the end of Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2, watching Tino's wehazskillz video thrice and sorting through number cards.

Once there were four sets of 0-100's, now there is only one full, one with everything but 77 and two very needy piles. As in almost every third number was missing.

There was a gap here where I went to the dentist. It always takes just onder 3 mins for me to be seen, she asks about my life then dries my mouth and says I have perfect teeth. Today she went as far as to say, "I'd love to see you're teeth when you're 70"...
Odd.

Anyhoo, while we were there Hazel's friend (who incidentally was in Dad's tutor group) Giacamo's Mum was also at the dentist and she was so amazingly talkative, doing impressions of her sons and husband. I think she would be one of the best teachers ever.

In answer to M's question, to waterproof my coat we got this strange spray stuff called "scotch guard" and you just give it a blast.

So, my blog title is a terrible phonetic spelling of the word questions... ask away and I'll answer them in a future blog.
Perhaps not tomorrow because that's plinth day.

Mmmmkay.

Kilo

It's just a word ok, it's just a word that begins with K.

I feel really rather out of sorts, I mean, I had a better day than I usually do, I did stuff, left the house, walked and learned and contacted people left right and centre.

I got up pretty early today but then spent my time sorting through a few things and I had a small experiment with some balloons but then it was already 11:30 and I had to set off to walk into town.

I filled my ears with wrock just because I can and it was lovely and sunny and I was anticipating going to see Potter again. I'm not that enthralled as to want to see it because it was amazing but I promised Maddy that we'd go see it at some point. Shame it was sold out (although it wasn't surprising as the cinema is minuscule). I rang Maddy so she didn't even bother coming to town and I met up with Laura, Jen and Ross instead.

We had one of those lovely meander-y days where it was just casual chatter and shopping. But I managed to spend too much even though 80% spending was on food and drink. Sigh. I need to go to a car boot sale of some description to sell a host of my things.

It's Monday now and on Wednesday I'll be up on that Plinth.
Before then I need to charge my spare camera battery and waterproof my coat.
Also, decide which t-shirt to wear, even though it'll be hidden by a hoody.
I think I should take up a sketchbook to draw what I see even if I just spend 10 mins doing that.

I really hope I don't look all worn out and drained because it's the end of a long day.

I've got to remember, while we're at Kings Cross to get video of 9 3/4, I think it's necessary even though I'm goignt o be in London twice more in August.

http://philnaylor.blogspot.com

OH! I need to do some cutting out of t-shirt designs. Canada flags y'know, and they're fiddly.

NANAIGHT!

Key

I threw away a plastic key today, one of those things they put in keyrings sometimes as an example. A complete waste of plastic really.

I had this plan in my head for today.
I was going to get up just before 10 to then listen to Jon Richardson whilst going through all my art folders and sorting work to keep, throw, scrapbook or display or whatever. Thing is, I haven't "practised" what I'm going to do on the plinth on Wednesday.
Although I have decided what I'm going to attempt.
So after a bit of a hoo-har about time wasting I set out with chopsticks and wool to mark out a 4.2m x 1.5m area on the grass in the back garden.
I then got a whole load of modelling balloons that I plan to blow up and build into so strange contraption or building.
Actually.
I think I'm going to attempt a building, like a castle or similar.

Then, because I haven't done it in days I went to pick raspberries.
FIVE whole mugs.
An abundance of berries.
Also, while getting them in the blackberries look like they're on their way!

Around 1 we had to go to the place where Hazel had spent the weekend on a Cadet of the Year competition residential thing.
There was the oddest collection of food for lunch.
I had half a boiled egg, 3 slices of sausage, some carrot sticks and some lettuce.
Very strange.
The presentation/judging was really strange, the entire room was almost entirely symmetrical and when the stepped forward from the top balcony they split and walked in a cross path thing. It was mind boggling.
Mum also managed to get "So Long, Farewell, Aufedersein, Goodbye" wedged into my head because of the whole stairs and balcony thing.
Hazel didn't get Cadet of the year but she still did really well.
:)

I managed more scrapbooking today too!
I've almost worked through all the things I have stocked up to put in.
I really want to share it with you guys but I don;t want to have to photo everything or make a video about it. It'll probably just stay one of those things I showed in it's early stages a few weeks ago, that I sometimes mention, and that never gets seen in it's entirety.

"Bababa, bababa, babababahbababa!
I'm not going back to Privet Drive."

Kudos

It's 8:44pm.
I think I'm going to go to bed earlier tonight.
I was awake quite early to do the washing up and then spent a good while listening to Potter and tidying my room.
I know it must seem like that is all I do.
You don't realise quite how much there is to sort.

We decided to go see Harry Potter again today, Mum, Dad and me.
It was just a good experience this time.
Everyone's faces were in proportion because we sat in the middle and this time I appreciated the filming techniques and such much more.

Like how the white bird died but the black didn't.
How they zoom too close to their faces at times (especially the stupid H/G kiss).
Ginny is not nearly feisty enough.
Every time Neville was on screen Mum elbowed me as if I hadn't noticed.

It's a really strange feeling when you come out of the cinema into bright sunlight.

Klick

Today was pretty dull, it's rained, constantly, and now there is standing water in the garden.

On the plus side I'm into chapter 6 of Deathly Hallows audio style and watched the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy film again.

I'm really enjoying this when it gets updated.

Hazel may wish for you to enjoy this too.

We had a strawberry tart for pudding tonight, Mum and Dad seemed to enjoy it but I thought it was a bit like eating lip gloss.

While watching around 3 hours of Friday night tv I spent my time on my scrap book.
It's coming on nicely.

Oh and I made some great discoveries in my room sort that I hope to share in my video come Monday.

:)

Krikey

My Dark Mark.

Two Gryffindorks, a Hufflepuff (in both costume and self) and a Ravenclaw in disguise as Bellatrix.

Photos of yesterday (at Mum's school) are still not going up.

Hermione's bag in the next film better be good, I was just thinking about how Harry's rucksack in this one was hideous and I know it's set in the 90's (but in the films sort of now) but really.

I designed a shield for Ross that he wants printing so he can brand his clothes...

At one point I was sitting reading and listening to soothing rain when I remembered there was washing out to dry. I ran to get it and got rather "drenched"
:S

A woman rang me up to ask me about my mobile phone usage, the poor woman sounded very dissapointed that I didn't want free minutes. I'm happy with what I have thanks.

Stephen Fry reads Aberforth's name as "Abbah-forth", I always read it "Ayber-forth".
It only has one B.

We (being Hazel and I) watched Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants today, it always gets me a bit tear-y.

Tired I am.

Knuts, Sickles and Galleons

Mum's Birthday is today, I woke up slightly panicky that I'd missed her but she was still in the house to talk to and that was nice.

Haze and I went out looking for suitable Wands. There were some choice sticks but we found some ok ones in the end.

Thesexymacaroni is my new favourite collab channel.
I hadn't had hula hoops in AGES till last night at that cadet party, I just remembered and thought I'd say.

I went into Mum's school at lunch to be there to help out with her Art class, I was in charge of the hot glue gun.
I love Mum's "school voice" though I found it hard not to just laugh.
Some of her class were so sweet.
We were making our own prints out of foam and yoghurt pots and the patterns created were so lovely.
Diligent is the word that fitted that class this afternoon.

The main feature of today was Harry Potter, I mean, the Potter verse itself takes up a rather large portion of my thought normally but today was just mega.
We decided to dress up, I mean, why not?
So Hazel sprayed her hair pink and went as Tonks, Ross was just in school uniform which made him a typical Gryffindor, Laura was similar but with cat ears as a half transformed Hermione/Millie's cat, and I went as Bellatrix Lestrange.
I don't boast to look anything like HBC but I did my best, goings as far as to paint a Dark Mark on my arm and make my hair terribly messy.
I also took the wonkiest of the sticks we found earlier.
I have to say, despite the film being rather distorted (we were only on the second row and right at the edge) it was a fantastic experience.
Radcliffe is still terrible but in an almost (and very almost) endearing way.
Grinty and Felton were just awesome.
There were a few annoyances, strays from cannon that irritated me.
One being when they mention Harry's eyes that they're supposed to be GREEN and they fail with that but I loved how there were moments when Sevvy would just stop and look at them. All will become clear #taps nose#.
Felix is GOLD not clear and Harry doesn't drink it all; that tit.
Draco should have been heard to threaten with "Crucio" I think and it was just blasts of light.
The hiding of the book and H/G kiss was terrible.
Despite inaccuracies in the cave scene I thought it was fantastic and the Inferni STILL made me jump even though I knew they were there.
OH and that first bit with Harry flirting with the waitress, ffs.
Slughorn, moustache-less may he be, was very very good.
It also stopped to soon, we had no noble Harry being all "you're dumped" and no sly look at Aberforth with wistful intent.
The positives, I appear to have been too critical, I adored Luna, I always have and always will, her behaviour is always book perfect and that Lion hat is the BEST THING EVER.
Harry and Hermione's moments, hitting him when he says "but I AM the chosen one" and the emotional "It feels like this". They were so good, they really seemed to portray the type of emotions of teenagers. The joking, fun, camaraderie that they need to have before full on war sets in (so that their Patronuses have a good stock of happy) and the pain of not being acknowledged.
I thought that athough we didn;t see enough of teenage/growing Voldie, that Tom Riddle as a child and student were great, cast well. (I am sure it's a different Tom to the one from Chamber though...)
I want to go see it again very soon from a better angle though!
:D

All in all a very very good night.

I have photos that really deserve to go in today's blog but I am NOT in the mood to sort that out now, uploading cropping and further uploading would just put me in a bad mood when I'm actually in quite a good one.

OH and the Burrow thing, WHAT!

PS! I wrote all this ^ before I read my peer reviews. I've since read Alex's, I'm reading Haley's and am about to read Kristina's.
I have so much more I could say but I'm letting other people say it.
Ok, I'll add, Narcissa's hair was daft but I knew that before I saw the full film via promo things. SHE IS NOT CRUELLA DE VILLE!

Once upon a time, back in year 9 we had a German lesson where all we had to do was a wordsearch.
During the lesson Helen queried "is Klefp a word?"
To which Hannah, Becca and I all replied no.
"It looks like a word."
In fact in the word search it was the back end of the reversed word "Apfel".

Since that day though, when in need of a word in German (and since then any other situation) we often said "kelfp".

I listened back to Jon Richardson today, the full 3 hours and found out the wonderful news that he now has a wheelie bin. For two years he's complained about it. NOW he's getting one!

I went through my OBU log of each day today as I copied the information up into a different notepad.
On the 25th July it will be a full year since I first went there.
Scary.

I also went through my chester draws today (John reference, Mum you probably won't get it :p) and got rid of a fair few t-shirts.

Hazel made a smoothy that was so thick I almost had to chew it, and in fact I did because she didn't sieve the raspberries and the pips were irritatingly in my teeth.

The Cadet/Badger end of term party was crazy, lots of tiny children (some as young as 6) just driving me insane.

M, my interwebual friend, has recently discovered an enthusiasm for texting, I, on the other hand, am so used to it that I find myself hardly effected when I hear the tone unless I'm expecting something in particular.

Potter fever is once again at it's peak and I'm loving every second. By this time tomorrow I'll have seen it.
Ross was sending me random spells via text and questioning the need for invisibility cloaks.

From this moment right now it's only 19.5 hours till it begins.

EEEP!

Kushty

Today was lovely.

It's Hazel's Birthday and so for breakfast we had croissants.

We were both heading into town but I went much earlier because we were going bowling.
I don't understand how but our game cost us £1.60 each. That INCLUDES show hire.
I'm not complaining, I think that's fantastic. Just a little crazy.

We also went on the arcade dance machine which was tiring! Also it's pigging awful to attempt in the bowling shoes!

My lunch of Greggs chicken bacon tomato baguette was lush.

I bought The Zoombinis mountain rescue game for only 99p!

We then went up to the park (this is Ross, Laura, Jen and me) armed with music bubble mix, strawberries and a cheap bingo game.

Ross and I played a game that ended up being "you can;t throw the ball until you think of another Harry Potter spell"

In New Look I said "imagine those shorts" whilst pointing at them.
I had intended to complete the sentence with "on #instertnamehere#" but I couldn't think of anyone, leaving me looking very foolish.

Once home Hazel showed me the presents from her friends and the one from James is the BEST EVER. She'll show you in her vid this weekend so I won't describe it to spoil it but if you know her you'll probably see the pic as it's on nearly every website she's on now.

I installed and played a bit of that zoombini game but it was just dissapointing.
I mean, I was expecting something that wasn't WORSE than the original. But it was terribly dull compared to the genius of the other one and the graphics were worse.
I can only assume they could afford to pay the original makers and then I realised this version is NOT Broderbund and in in fact a rip off. Anger has seized me and I think I need to be cured with a good old sesh on the other version.
Shame the disk I have only runs on Win 95.

When trying to decide who to go to the HP HBP showing as Laura suggested;
"Mirabella Plunkett – Fell in love with a merman, transfigured herself into a haddock"

Which is clearly genius.

Thank-you and goodnight.

Kepier Clothes On

Quick blog today.

Up early so we could do t-shirt designs and printing this morning.
Out company is called "Kepier Clothes On", a genius name that Hazel came up with.

Spent a while renaming songs and assigning genres of music today.
Watched back some TV.

Picked up some cutlery from my Nana that she says is for Uni, it's got the bluest handles EVER.

Gred and Forge is today's Wrock fave.

Kor Blimey

Mum woke me up with the offer of a plate of cocktail sausages for breakfast...
they were nice but it was a surreal experience.

One thing you need to know about me is that I bloody hate Dan Radcliffe's voice (and face but that didn't matter on the Podcast I was listening to).
ARGH he stumbles and stutters and he irritates me SO much. Then he did this daft thing where he just shouted bits of his sentences that he thought needed emphasis when they didn't.
Everyone else (Rupert/Emma/Tom) just speak fine, I quite like their voices.
Mind you it was made better when he claimed he thought that his on screen kiss made him think he had lips "like the lips of a horse".
BAHAHAHAHAHAH

One of the funny things he said was to Emma about the possibility of dorming with a HP fanatic who might have "Your face on a duvet"... it sounds like a bad IRL experience to me.

There was one of those genuine amazing moments when Felton said'
"You are too kind sir, thank you"
to Dan after he'd praised Tom's acting.
Ahahahah imagine (cannon) Draco ever saying that to (cannon)Harry, just comedy.

I got this weeks video edited and up this morning but as of now there are still no comments.
:/

Not much else to say about my day except that it took AGES to transfer all the music from my Zen to my external hard drive.

Also I now have the iTunes format Wrock in the right format (mp3) to put on my player.

I'm going to post early as I want to switch off before comedy on tv tonight.

"This is never, never going to end, it really can't end coz we've made too damn many friends"

Kaibosh

POOP
I have to write this before midnight preferably, I sort of think Mum's waiting for it...

Today was a nice mix up of relax and do. After reading M's blog this morning I realised that I often treat this "daily blog" as a chore but I know fine well that if I relented and didn't post every single day the break in the habit would just cause any involvement or dedication to dwindle away and this is one thing that I don't want this to happen with as it's the longest running record of my life I've ever managed.

"And with his last breath he said, 'Take it, take it'"
Love that song and sentiment.

Rangers was fun tonight a good chat about Jen's baby, forthcoming Uni, ebooks and many more topics.

For once I got to see Caitlin for more than like, two hours, it was great.
She came over about 1 and we watched last night's Torchwood (brill) and St. Trinian's (terrible but fun to rip to shreds).
We also played Boggle and Scrabble, good times.

There is this dickhead youtuber called TheViolentrascist who has been pretty much downright foul to any and every vlogger on the Tubes. He (I'm assuming) posted a horrible comment on both my own channel (since reported and deleted) and on Hazelizabeth and THEN had the audacity to subscribe to us.
ARGH!
I got so angry that for the first time I blocked a user.

I also won't spoil the last episode of Torchwood fully but tears existed and it was epic.

Kwick

I'm sick to the back teeth of the badly named blogs.

Righteo.

My day...

Sorting out my sewing box and finding more than a sensible amount of buttons.
Eating chicken and pasta in a house that smelt of the muffins Hazel made for her friend's Birthday.
Youtube...
Ironing things onto t-shirts.
Going to school (even though I'm officially out of there) to use machines in the tech department for some hats...
The printer refused to do black ink.
Getting and eating fish and chips for tea.
Going to see the Durham [district?] wind band and eating strawberries.
Watching Torchwood and getting emotional.

Now I wish I could regale a whole host of anecdotes but to be honest the day went without incident.

Although at one point Mum said the word "incongruous" and that set Hazel and off into a rendition of "In the Absence of Christmas".

Night y'all.

Knick-knacks

Sorting my room means I come across a lot of things I've forgotten about. Today I sorted a box full of ribbons, zips and string. Therapeutic but somehow there were stray bracelets and elastic and shoelaces that I now need to find a different storage area for!

Looking at the people on the One and Other plinth in Trafalgar Square this morning there was a man dressed as a toilet, then a woman sat in a deckchair with a bubble machine reading from a gardening magazine.
When she was getting off she said, "bye bye plinth".
Then a man just sat on the edge in a fluorescent jacket.
Then a very excited and loud woman had 1000 yellow paper planes messages from all over the world but it was daft because she didn;t get all of them thrown and had to take loads off again.

How about I paint each letter of the alphabet onto a piece of a4 paper then paper aeroplane them down, I'd have to do each letter within 2 mins...
This, when practised, is a terrible idea. Not only is the paper aeroplane thing going to be SO overdone by the time I get up there but also in 2 mins you cannot paint a good looking letter.

For lunch I had JUST an avocado in bread... thought it might be sickly but the magic bread helped. Lovely stuff.

A man on the plinth who just stood still and silent on the edge was said to be having an hour to himself out of his busy life so that's all he did.

It was cheeky next, from Cheek TV, Haze and I watched that for a bit, then last night's Torchwood and FotConcords and on old episode of Skins.

In the afternoon there was a woman who was ranting on about children, it was pretty good of her although one of the things that she said was
"encourage your children to be a radiator not a drain"

I've had Fortunes Fall "Debut" stuck in my head ALL DAY.

I really really want to reconsider the EP of the month thing, the Wizard Rock idea that I was keen on earlier in the year then forgot.

THIS WOULD BE GOOD.

Krotchety

This month words are just going to be C words with K's as it's just easier.

I need to remember to film a bit of video today.
(I did but it was just ramble.)

It's raining again.
I want to scrapbook today...
I spent aaaaages sorting through piles of paper, throwing away drawings I did in my past that were hideous.
It didn't look like I'd got much done, but I did.

Transformers has got a little but better but we're still just meeting the bots...
For lunch we had that type of bread that makes any filling good...
MMMMMMM

I helped Mum make medallions as we watched Torchwood.
It's just fantastic.

Also, on my DS brain training I completed every sodoku, but there's no recognition of that, just a 100% thing.

Knock Knock

So.
The week is started, and already Monday is over.
I actually got up later today than usual, everyone was out (so it was some time after 8:30) apart from Hazel who didn't actually get up till about 11:30.
I watched the Semitone Smackdown videos and remembered the amount of influence that Chucklevision used to have on my life.

(NOTE: Chucklevision is not a word underlined by the spell checker, I'm scared by this knowledge as I did not add it.)

I'm not quite sure what happened until 1 but then Hazel and I decided to make and eat lunch while we watched Transformers.
We only got the first hour or so watched before another flash storm hit us and the electricity went.
That also meant we couldn't iron...

After sitting out the majority of the stormy-ness we watched some BH2.0 then Haze went off to Piano.

I spent time sorting through a pot of bits and pieces in my room then watched the Plinth on the news.

We ate tea during the first bit of Hollyoaks then I ironed through the second 30mins then all of a My Name Is Earl episode, which was good... pile didn't seem to shrink at all though.

Torchwood was fantastic tonight. I love the Whoniverse.

:)

Sunday 5 July 2009

Kittens

Both Ash and I first went to YouTube to look at videos of funny cats.
We have progressed from there... but still, it was a nice mutual aknowledgement.

I could tell a convoluted story about the "crazy hail stones"...
I shall not but suffice to say that during a lovely day it went from ok weather to torrential storm in under 30 seconds.

Mum made us do some colouring for a card she was making for a member of staff and Hazel claimed it was a form of "fraud" to colour in their pictures for them.

Haze's hair was awesome for her "Prom".

At some point I'll need to buy Alan and Tom's album as it looks fantastic.

Wife Swap is infuriating, Mum and I watched some while eating tea and I just felt disgusted at these parents.

I've been sorting, again, but if you saw my room you wouldn't think so.

Alas, it's coming up to 11pm and nowt else is going to occur.

Till tomorrow!

Kayak

I actually think this is going to be quite difficult to actually find a word that begins with K that relates to my day. If I'm being honest the only slight link is that the word kayak was used in a Crabstickz video I watched today.

Tim Minchin's son is called Caspar, I found out this fact on Twitter and am unsure what to do with this knowledge I now wield.
I'll share it here.

Oh that comfortable sort of rain just started and I'm listening to Todd Kuffner on YouTube.

The steak we had for tea was unbelievable lush. Sorry vegetarians but you're clearly missing out.

I've got 4 necklaces made but without fastenings.

Haze's video is up.

"They're part of my youthhood?" Mum said this about some size 6 shorts she used to wear when she was 21.
XD

Yawning at only half 8 is not good.

Kna- tired

I know I promised a photo blog, and I know I promised to send some video to M but I seriously just want sleep right now and I haven't had a moment to plug my camera in as I've just come through the door and it's 11:14.

I had an amazingly busy day considering I don;t have any real, commitments.

Awake early, about 6 as I just couldn't go back to sleep.
Read an whole book and wrote the review up in my other blog.
Showered and did the washing up.
Hung clothes out and picked raspberries.
Got bus into town with Hazel for an 11 o'clock orthodontist appointment.
We laughed at the childish magazines I entered a competition to win a DS with horses on it...
While Haze was in the room I sorted the pot of coloured pencils all the right way up.
After we went to buy a present for Hazel's friend Alex from WHSmith because it's the only place she had money on her card thing.
We saw a whole hoard of people eating muller yoghurt on the street as the walked. Probably the most awkward walking snack.
On the way home Haze saw a 20p in the road and ran to get it then we took HP7 on CD back to the library.
Lunch I had left over dino pasta and tomatoes and a banana as we watched a bit of the Titanic Christmas special Dr Who, again.
We went shopping and I got a nice dress and then went blood doning around half 3.
A guy there referenced the heavy rain as "it lamped it down" which I found amusing.

Barely any time after that I ate tea then went out to Dave's fun fancy dress party in a red suit as a supposed "air hostess".

Bed now.

Kick back

I woke up this morning pretty contentedly.
I didn't feel too tired but I couldn't remember my dream.

I finished Bridget Jones's Diary, the omnibus then wrote my blog about it.
Had a shower, sorted a bit of my room, put out the washing, made and ate lunch then walked into Durham with Hazel.

Ross was late but on the way through the market place I spotted this big metal V and it was a bit for cans and plastic bottles only.
I was like, "Cool, glad to see these people helping, if they stop me to talk I might actually listen."
Well, just after I'd had that though a guy working for the group Vinvolved, who had really shiny sunglasses, stopped me and said, "I do hope you're in the age bracket of 16-25".
So I said, ever eloquent:
"Indeed I am, I'm 18"
To which he replied "Brilliant and are you interesting in volunteer work."
So I just said "Yes".
I mean, if I can't get a job I might as well help and I felt all exhilarated after a long walk and I was wearing my "THIS T-SHIRT DOESN'T COST THE EARTH" top and I felt all helpful and generous.
He said that they often go rock climbing and stuff to relax after the tasks and it just sounded good. I felt really, like, chuffed with myself.

Well then I sent Ross a text to say I'd been accosted by the people in the market but it didn't matter because he was half an hour late.
An amnesty guy with a clip board also stopped me by saying, "Your t-shirt is just the sort of message we need".
ERGH, cheesy.

Well, as soon as I saw Ross one of his first things was to ask what accosted actually meant, he's not good with complex words but he knows if he asks I'll sort it out.
Later on in the day I said "antithesis" instead of direct opposite and he said "long word" and that was my cue to explain. How he shall cope without me I have no idea.
:)

Anyhoo. We set off up to Boots so he could buy a meal deal, and I got some doughnuts from Greggs.
Then we just sat up at the park from about 2 till 5.
Hazel joined us after her clarinet lesson about half 4.

We just sat and talked and took photos and listened to music and sweated in the sun.
It was nice.

Also, Hazel has forgotten how to swing on the swings properly.
I tried to re-teach but we had to go because Mum showed up.

For tea we had the dinosaur pasta with tuna, it was strange.
Not the pasta, that was great, just the combination.

It's still too warm.

OH and another thing Ross said: "I'm not deaf I can read them myself" in reference to tape books. He meant blind but it's all ok.

The word "long" became "hot" too, mid conversation and it was daft.

Err, think that is all.

Bye.

Knowing

Today was a room based day, I was tidying and sorting and filing and piling and what- have-you but it still has a very long way to go.

I spent ages typing book titles into Excel and through the process of sorting and stacking I decided on about 30 to get rid of...and hopefully sell. So far I've catalogued 357 into the computer too.

When Mum got in tonight she wanted us to rush to go to the sale at dewhurst that started tonight but then, after I rushed around trying to look presentable, she decided we would not actually going. Infuriating but pleasing because I wasn't really in the mood.

Chiara linked me to this today. Pretty fantastic, I am actually rather excited to see it now!

We had really odd weather today, it was what Mum calls "close". Muggy, damp air but really warm then around 4 o'clock it just pelted with rain.
'Coz of the heat Dad had opened the windows to his car at school to cool it down and then the seats ended up really really wet; he won't be doing that again.

I now own Parselmouths Pretty in Pink (and Green).
:D
Love goes out to M.
