It's Dad's Birthday today so we went out for quite a sumptuous meal this lunch time.

Eslington Villa was a beautiful and sedate venue with such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

We took Nana along too so it was lovely to all be dressed up and enjoying time together while we ate delicious food.

Afterwards we went to South Shields to a knitting/art exhibition which was very intriguing. My favourite was perhaps the proggy mat fish or the fully knitted Scream pastiche.

We've just watched "The Wedding Singer" which was an Adam Sandler film made in 1998. It was rather great considering the age of it and that it starred Adam Sandler. I think he's just got worse with age.

Time for some topical comedy on Have I Got News For You.
